I am going on record to say that for years, I have used the Chicago Cubs as the butt of many baseball jokes between my dad and I.

Most of the good natured ribbing was probably deserving. After all, the goat curse was alive and active and Chicago bore the shame of a 100+ year drought.

Until now.

Cubbies, you’ve nearly made a convert of me. I’ll ultimately stick with my Texas Rangers, but I have to say that you and Cleveland brought us the most amazing world series ever. I just can’t imagine baseball being any more fun (unless it was the Rangers) and you deserve all the Kudos you can get. That was the most fantastic world series EVER EVER EVER. My goodness, talk about a comeback and nail biter to the end and then one inning beyond!
